The Courage to Be Kind to Yourself

A Guided Somatic & Hypnotherapy Experience

Self-compassion isn’t something you force, it’s something you begin to allow.

This session offers a grounded, supported space to explore what shifts when you choose to meet your current experience with kindness, rather than judgement.

🗓️ 22nd May 2026

⏰ 4pm - 5.30pm BST (book to attend live and / or receive event replay)

This event brings together Karissa Force, a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Michaela Burrell, a Somatic Processing Practitioner.

It takes courage to be kind to yourself.

Not just as an idea but in the quiet, moment-to-moment reality of your own thoughts, feelings, and reactions.

For many of us, the inner relationship can feel strained.
Shaped by subtle pressure, by self-criticism, by the sense that we should be coping better, doing better, being better.

And so, even when we long for more ease or self-compassion, something in us stays braced.

This session is an invitation to begin somewhere different.

Through a gentle blend of somatic processing and hypnotherapy, you’ll be guided to slow down, turn inward, and begin relating to your experience with more understanding and care.

Event FAQs

  • This space may particularly resonate if you:

    • tend to be hard on yourself, even when you’re doing your best

    • feel disconnected from your needs, body, or inner voice

    • notice patterns of overthinking, pushing through, or self-pressure

    • are curious about somatic work, hypnotherapy, or inner exploration

    • or simply sense that you’d like to relate to yourself in a kinder way.

  • You might begin to notice:

    • where your system has been holding tension, protection, or overwhelm

    • the parts of you that feel judged, rushed, or pushed aside

    • what happens when those parts are met with kindness instead of pressure

Rather than trying to fix or change what’s there, we’ll explore what it’s like to stay with your experience, and respond to it differently.

With a little more space, curiosity and compassion.

    and gently meet what’s here.

We'd love to invite you to keep your camera on during this event, so we can all stay connected and attuned.

For a more immersive experience, we strongly suggest that you find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed and that you have your headphones ready.

You might also find it supportive to have a glass of water and your journal nearby.

You might like to wear pyjamas or comfortable clothes, in case you'd like to move or dance to the sound of music.

  • People often leave with a subtle but meaningful shift. Not because something was forced,
    but because something was allowed.

    You might notice:

    • a greater sense of connection to your body and inner experience

    • a softening in how you relate to difficult thoughts or emotions

    • a felt sense of what self-compassion actually means for you

    • or simply a little more space, steadiness, or ease

    This isn’t about fixing yourself.

    It’s about creating the conditions
where something more supportive can begin to emerge.

All registered participants will receive access to the recording, so you can come back to the experience as often as feels supportive.

It'd be wonderful if you could join us live so we can attune to you and your energy as much as possible. However, if your timezone doesn't allow live participation, feel free to register for the event and join via the replay.
